Gables Residential Case Study
Gables Residential has been a client of BlueDarter for 8 years and
has gone through 4 re-designs to their web
site. Each re-design has adapted to how Gables
reacts to the changing business environment.
This current design was focused on attracting
and managing potential and new residents.
We also worked with Gables to standardize
their collateral and corporate message, content
management, increase site usability and functions,
and boost their internet presence.
Re-Branding
The overall redesigned look of the site visually and verbally standardized
and reinforces the new corporate and property
branding and collateral. The sites buttons,
navigation schemes, headlines, and body text
have the same look and feel.
The new design is based on the assumption
that Gables Residential is now marketed
to the 20, 30-something age bracket. The site has more
of a “carefree” look using stylized
graphics and a lighter color palette while maintaining
an elegant look and feel on every page with
corporate appeal. Displaying high-quality photos
of properties, people snapshots, and rich textures
will visually reinforce and create a useful
and enjoyable Gables Residential user experience.
In general, the site now portrays the high comfort
and quality level that the properties offer.
Content Management
There are many new content management features in the new site.
The site was developed with multiple content
contributor user groups in mind. The six
main navigation sections are segmented into
mini-sites with independent user permissions
for updating capabilities. The content contributor
is now able to edit pages, add additional
links, information, pictures, and new pages. Through the REIT
Suite property managers or designated Gables regional
managers now have the ability to change databased
content for properties such as management
specials, amenities, unit information and
property descriptions.
Tracking and Performance Measurement
A property lead tracking system module from our REIT Suite was
implemented which allows property managers
to respond to inquiries made via the Internet,
which now is capturing over 400 new leads
a month. Gables Residential Corporate Management
now has the ability to track responses and
measure against Gables Corporate Standards
for excellent Customer Service.
Gables Residential continues to increase their web sites potential.
Recently a new Gables Great Rewards program
was launched which we developed a secure
extranet for promotions with the House of Blues and
other third party vendors.
